More about me:

In my role as staff writer for Capitol Beat News Service, I cover Georgia politics, often bringing investigative and data-driven lenses to my reporting. My news stories are distributed to over 125 newspapers across Georgia. I consider it an honor to serve my state in this way.

I also hold a PhD in History from the University of Michigan, where I was awarded a Fulbright Fellowship. I lived in India for several years and am proficient in Hindi. Prior to becoming a journalist, I worked in Atlanta-area emergency rooms and in clinics and hospitals in rural India. Those experiences drove my passion for health journalism.

I love meeting new people, exploring rural Georgia, kayaking and learning new languages!
